GREENVILLE — The Greenville Excessive Faculty women tennis group closed the season with a fourth place displaying on the MVL match held Sep. 26 in Troy. The 14 member group included six freshmen and two sophomores.
Eleven of the ladies have been pretty new to the sport. Despite that, that they had a powerful season with a report of 7-8 general and 4-5 within the MVL. Sisters senior Sadie and sophomore Maddie Lance each positioned 4th within the MVL match at first and second singles.
Junior Charlie Pope and freshman Meadow Murphy positioned fifth at second doubles. Junior Haylee Shuttleworth, in her first 12 months as a singles participant, took sixth place at third singles. Two freshmen, Riley Etchison and Sienna Gilman, rounded out the road up with a seventh place displaying at first doubles.
Sophomore Trisha Wells and freshman Lilly Daigle attended as alternates, after competing in varsity matches throughout the season.
“I’m very happy with this group of women. Our returning gamers, Sadie, Maddie and Haylee, confirmed nice management. Sadie was voted First Staff within the MVL and Maddie Second Staff, an honor which is voted on by all MVL coaches. Our doubles groups have been all younger or new gamers and needed to face extra skilled upperclassmen all season. I’m wanting ahead to seeing their continued enchancment. They have been a fantastic group of women who supported one another and had quite a lot of enjoyable alongside the best way,” head coach Lori Keller mentioned.
