Annual Firecracker 5k kicks off July 4 actions

ANSONIA — The Fourth of July festivities began early at Ansonia with the annual Firecracker 5k. It was a transparent time out for the members as they began the occasion on the faculty and ran or walked down the street and again.

Hosted by the Ansonia Fireplace Division, the fundraiser helps offsets the price of protecting the fireplace division’s tools maintained.

There was over 215 members on the occasion coming from throughout the county and space. Two Greenville residents took first within the female and male divisions. Bryce Shilt took first within the male division and Isabelle Rammel took first within the feminine division. Many locals took first of their respective age teams.

Within the male age teams, Max McKibben took first within the 11 to 14 group. Matthew Lee took first within the 15 to 18 group. Grant Beasley took first within the 19 to 24 group. Brian McKibben took first within the 45 to 49 group. Mark Barton took first within the 65 to 69 group whereas Richard Barton took first within the 70 and over group.

Within the feminine age teams, Claire Lind took first within the 11 to 14 age group. Keira Rahm took first within the 15 to 18 group. Makayla Unger took first within the 25 to 29 group. Crystal Barton took first within the 45 to 49 group. Stephanie Lind took first within the 50 to 54 age group. Connie Harshbarger took first within the 65 to 69 group whereas Susan Fowble took first within the 70 and over group.

Together with many alternative teams collaborating, it was an enormous turnout on the occasion.
