Poultry Days 5k had huge turnout

VERSAILLES — It was an ideal morning for the Poultry Days 5k on June 10 at Versailles. Greater than 375 individuals participated within the 5k on the faculty. Runners from across the county and from across the nation got here to run on the occasion.

The 5k began on the east facet of the college. From there, members ran or walked across the faculty and went alongside Marker Rd. and again.

Within the male division, Tony O’Connor from West Chester completed first general with a time of 16:24.9. Brooks Blakeley from Versailles took second and Aaren Hemmelgarn from New Bremen took third.

Within the feminine division, Gretchen Mills took first general with a time of 20:11.7. Ellen Peters and Meredith Barga from Versailles took second and third.

The county was properly represented within the completely different age teams. Within the 11 to 14 boys division, Max McKibben completed first with Blake Pitsenbarger and Brady Rogers taking second and third. Within the 15 to 19 boys division, John Younger took first with Tony Moorman and Cameron Magoto taking second and third. Within the male 40 to 44 division, Joe Raterman took first and Matthew Magoto took second. Within the 65 to 69 male division, Mark Barton, Gary Moore and Greg Hiestand all from Greenville have been the highest three. Richard Barton from Greenville was first within the 70 and over.

Within the women 15 to 19, Barga took first with Chloe Steinbrunner and Katey Litten taking second and third. Within the 60 to 64 feminine division, Shelly Haber took first with Claudia Hiestand and Deb Barga taking second and third. Within the 65 to 69 feminine division, Connie Harshbarger took first with Kathy Barton ending third. Within the 70 and over division, Susan Fowble took first with Carol Williams ending second.
